Event Details

HR & Tech SF presents an evening of thought-provoking ideas and conversation about how cloud computing is changing the way we work. As web-based platforms for work mature, we are witnessing a major shift in how work gets done. By 2015, the U.S. will have an estimated 14 million full-time, home-based freelancers. In light of this rapidly changing employment landscape, we will explore the emerging "Workforce in the Cloud" and the rise of online outsourcing.

Ellen Pack, VP of Marketing for Elance, will discuss how the web is transforming the world of work and the rise of online outsourcing. Following the presentation, Danielle Morrill, Director of Marketing for Twilio, will join Ellen for a 1-on-1 conversation that takes us deeper into the practice and implications of working with remote teams.

Finally, we'll open the floor to questions, comments and exchange with the audience.

This is a great chance to meet some of the movers and shakers in the cloud computing space and learn about the human capital implications: the rise of the freelancer, coordinating remote teams and more.

Light refreshments will be provided. This event is free. Donations will be accepted at the door.

Parking is available on the street.

More information will be posted on our blog in the coming days.
